I sent for the free-trial of Colon Cure. They charged me $3.95 shipping. I tried for days to cancel and kept getting a busy signal, or a recording to call back later. I finally did get through after sitting on hold for over half an hour and spoke to some guy named Skyler. I told him I wanted to cancel, he said he canceled the account, I would receive no more shipments and gave me a confirmation number. I have read the horror stories on here about people being billed even after canceling their account. I went to my bank and explained the situation. They are canceling my debit card and issuing a new one, and they won't be able to bill for any future auto shipments. It cost $5 to replace the debit card, but well worth it to not pay $87/month for something I don't want and canceled. I am also going to send them a letter, certified mail and return receipt requested just to cover myself.

You have done the right thing and headed them off at the pass. They did not cancel your account like that sociopath said. They were prepared to hit you with a 90.00 charge like they do everyone else. You cancelled your card and contacted the bank so when they try they will be stopped. This is the ONLY way to stop them from stealing from you. good job.
