Pepperidge Farm -Campbell's soup "Independent distributor ship" "business owner" Nationwide

 I recently purchased an independent distributorship (pepperidge farm route) back in July of 2014. I have worked in the retail grocery business my entire life; the last 10 years as a floor supervisor and front end manager. I know the industry very well and knew something was very wrong from day one. I spent my entire life savings on a $215,000.00 business venture that turned out to be a scam. Pepperidge farm route owners are NOT independent distributorships as they claim on their website, you are more like an independent liability owner. I never received the disclosure documents I was promised at the closing, documents were later found out to be altered, I was forced to service non-profitable stores even though the consignment agreement states otherwise. They forced out thousands of dollars worth of holiday product I did not order and ultimately had to pay for once it went stale. Immeadiatly after I voiced my concerns in emails to the corporate office I started receiving a slew of threatening warning letters. Within a month they had taken the route away from me. It's been six months and they still have my $77,000.00 in equity they owe me. I have still havent got a response from them as to when they will return my money. Pepperidge farm's practices are more than unfair and deceptive, they are out-rite thieves. They have taken my money, my job, and ruined my credit. If your thinking of purchasing a route from Pepperidge Farm do your due dillegence. There is a reason why they have so much active litigation in the courts, stay away.
