DO NOT signup with them.
DO NOT give them a cheque or credit card.
If you do, your life will become a living hell as they gain direct access to your accounts and begin stealing money from them on a monthly basis.
Want the run-around - then go visit them and try to get your money back.
Your bank won't be of much help either as Platinum Fitness will and/or can issue a charge of a different value to your account, repeatedly, whenever they want.
DO ask your bank to investigate.
DO contact and file a report with your local POLICE - this is theft and becomes more serious when they access your accounts without the proper authorization, in other words, FRAUD. This means criminal activity from a legal business.
If you have signed nothing authorizing automatic payments from your accounts - then this is blatant FRAUD.
The POLICE must investigate. The bank must provide the POLICE with this fraudulent activity.
Notify the local BBB.
Fight back!!

How to Avoid Issues
AUTHOR: Mark - (Canada)

Let's face it there are always two sides to the story, the victim is claiming that he is getting ripped off and the company is taking whatever they want from him. There are a couple of things to remember, first if he feels that the company is doing something fraudulent then he should contact the local branch of consumer and corporate affairs and they will advise him if that is indeed the case. Second he should try to figure out what has caused this issue. It has been my experience that this type of issue occurs only after the victim has had payments from his account go NSF, then just like other companies including Insurance he will get billed again and will also get billed a NSF fee. The Victim feels that he is now being ripped off and must complain. I have pesonally dealt with several of these over the past 7 yrs, i am sure that this one was dealt with as well. With over 10,000 members in the past 7 yrs this is not a very widespread issue otherwise it would be posted everywhere. While the club is far from perfect if you come in you can solve 99% of the issues immediately.
