Protect-A-Bed Protect-A-Bed Wheeling Illinois

I purchased a high end icomfort Mattress in 8/2012, and at the time of purchase I was encouraged to buy a Protect-A-Bed Mattress Cover. I was told that this would protect my bed from liquid damage and if it failed my mattress would be replaced. In 12/31/2014, the mattress pad failed to repell my son's urine. I called in a claim and received a replacement cover while they examined the failed cover.

I received a letter on 1/23/15 stating that they found areas of damage and the damage occurred from laundering over an extended period of time. They stated that they woud not replace my mattress and the replacement cover is all I get. I'm sorry what? They offer a 10 year warranty so is the consumer expected not to wash the item? By their own instructions it states that the cover should be washed in warm water and medium dry. I followed their care instructions to the letter, therefore I'm at a total loss why they aren't standing behind their product. They warranty it for 10 years so one woukdn't expect for laundering damage to be a factor in year 2.5.

So, I now have a $2700 pee pee mattress. No pun and I'm pissed!
