Protect-a-Bed Did not honor warranty!!! Wheeling Illinois

 We bought a new twin mattress from Mattress Firm and the salesman sold us on the idea of the Protect-a-Bed covers, as he said they would REPLACE the mattress if it failed. As this purchase was for our young daughter, we felt it was worth the investment (even though they were about $65) as kids have accidents. Well, it failed. We called the mattress store and they said to contact Protect-a-Bed. So we did that and we told that they would not replace the mattress, that they would only send us a new cover. Wow- that's it?!?! We would NEVER have wasted all that money if we had know all we'd get is another defective cover! And that's exactly what happened, the new one started leaking though immediately! I was so not happy about it! I contacted them again, and they said they couldn't do anything to help me, because they can only replace the cover once during the warranty. But I didn't want another one!!! I only want $250 for a new mattress for my daughter because hers smells disgusting thanks to their stupid "protectors"!!!! I cannot get the urine smell out. I hope this saves other people's hard earned money. We bought a regular mattress protector at Walmart for my son's twin bed later for about $20 and it has been doing the trick just fine. I hope this company goes out of business for all the scamming people they are doing!!!!
