Prudent Securities Inc Sweepstakes SCAM Toronto Ontario

Looks like the scam is moving east. Received a letter with a check for $4875.00 for deposit on sweepstakes winnings of $125,000. The check is real... Went to the bank it was drawn on, which happened to be my bank and they verified the check was real but the account number it was drawn on is a local state agency.

Jeff Nelson, (heavy middle eastern accent) who answered the phone confirmed the contents of the letter and urged me to deposit the check and send them $2,875.00 via Moneygram or Western Union in order for them to send the balance of the "sweepstakes winnings" ($120,125.00) via FEDEX to me.

Don't waste your time on this SCAM!!! If you or your bank are dumb enough to process the check or believe the contents of the letter you will be out $4875.00 plus $2875.00 plus all related bank fees.

I called the number on the letter after finding all this out and belive it or not MR Jeff Nelson is still answering the phone...
