this quibids thing -- asks you to sign up and give your credit card number in case you decide to bid. they say that you can recoup your money -- IF you don't win by buying the item at suggested retail. they even defend that sometimes their prices are "higher than amazon" (ugh).

what they DON'T say is that they are going to charge your credit card while you are signing up and BEFORE (OR NEVER) you give them permission. when i figured this out -- by seeing that they sent a confirmation email for them to take the mail -- it's already in my "pending." that means that they have the right to collect it!! OR -- if i'm lucky, i can get it back in about 10 days.

no place (until they do it!) do they say they are going to hit you for the initial $60 upfront. i'm not sure about this guy and his $300 bids - because he should have known (like me) immediately that it was a scam when he was asked to confirm their debit from his card before he could bid. i'm sure if you do that (i did not and still do not have my money credited), you will be charged as the "jackass" they were waiting for. of course, they get a $60 from every JACKASS . . . (me!).

it is a ripoff. plalin and simple. they shill bid, add time and it is rigged to force you into purchasing an item more than double the price you would pay -- say at walmart -- because you have committed already to give them probably 1/3 the price -- you have to pay it anyway, might as well get that back, blah, blah, blah

okay -- DO NOT EVEN SIGN UP. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL IMMEDIATELY HAVE $60 STOLEN FROM YOU. they say they are a bbb member (duh?), you can get your money back (REALLY??), etc. they have their robot send you a confirmation number that they are "looking into it . . ." there is no way to contact a human, BUT with perserverence i found their number. CALL THEM.

You were not ripped off or scammed,

When you first registered you puchased 100 bids for $60.00, after you used all 100 bids did you
think they were just going to keep giving you free bids.

You stated in the OP that they asked you to "BUY" more bids and you said yes. It is just funny
how you do not remember what it said.

You are an idiot, who just says yes.  At your $300 charge from your credit card that means you
had just about 500 bids,

No were on QUIBIDS does it state that the bidding is free, before you decide to get into something
like this no what your doing instead of making ridiculous post like this one.

It just make you sound like a complete IDIOT
