My story is much like the others of this company. I received the very authentic looking check. I certainly could use this money and believed it was a gift of God. Also thinking it is too good to be true.

The check was for $2,980.00 and the letter said I was awarded $48,500.00 USD, taken from a total prize money of $5,654,000.00 shared among other winners.

It said I was one of the winners of North American Utilities draw held on April 12, 2007, selected through a computer ballot system,drawn from 49,000 telephone numbers and utilities bills.

It gave a number to call for Mrs Sandra Myers or Mr D. Hamilton. It also said redeemable no later than July 30, 2007.

I never got through the phone number and while waiting decided to check on line under google to get some info on the company and well, here I am finding that it really is all a scam.

I am concerned for the elderly person that wouldn't know to check this out or have the means to check this out.
I don't understand the scam entirely but I hope that someone can stop it before someone really does loose.
