I received the letter today and I was looking at the check and it looks so real so I went on-line to google and searched Rainbow Financial Trust and took me right to Ripoff. After I read all the ripoff I didn't know what to do. I have not talk to anyone in the # that they send so I dont know what to do. What happends if I cash it? It says here on the letter "Please call your payment coordinator Mrs. Sandra Myers or Mr. David Hamilton. If you been a ripoff of this company please help me and tell me what I should do.
Thank You
Natalie

#3 Consumer Suggestion
Try Contacting the Bank

I received a similar check. I contacted the bank (Comerica bank in Santa Cruz, California) and spoke with a representative. I was told that they have received several phone calls on this lottery check that day. Turns out that the account is red-flagged as fraudulent.
I would not take a chance and deposit the check into any account, nor try to get it cashed. Hypothetically speaking, if you deposit the check and should it clear (doubt it, but still), the canceled check will be sent back to the owner of the account and I believe your account information is encoded on the back, leaving your account wide open. Please, be careful.
