Ranger Financial Services Ted Johnson Rudest Sales Department I have EVER Spoken With Richardson, Texas

The company I work for gets at least 5 calls from telemarketers daily. The majority of these are rude and completely unprofessional. We always know how to spot a telemarketer by who they ask for, as it is a family run company and they never ask for the correct nickname (if it's someone who knows us, they ask using that name). So this afternoon I answer the phone and ask how I can help them and who are they calling for. The caller states that they are "Ted Johnson" and they are looking for "official first name of owner". Immediately I knew it was a sales call, as noone ever calls up here looking for him and asking for that name. He even warns his friends that if they call and ask for his given name, they'll be hung up on by me. I'm very efficient when it comes to clearing away telemarketers. So I hung up.

A minute later, the phone rings again. I pick it up. This time, the same voice is asking for "last name of owner". This is amusing, because we have 3 with the same last name, like I said, it is a family company. Anyway, so I ask what company he is calling from. He says Ranger. I ask what it's in regards to. He says he is returning the call. Not likely, as the owner is rarely in the office and would tell me if he was expecting a call. Flag #2. I ask again what it's in regards to. At this point he tells me I am being rude and says he will just take the voice mail. At that point I go ahead and get the owner's wife, let her know I've got a tenacious and super rude one. So I left him on hold for a few minutes and he hung up.

I immediately googled Ranger Financial services, found them listed on ripoff sites, then I went to their website and called the line they have for potential customers. The girl I spoke with has assured me we are taken off of the list (we are already on the do not call registry); I had a lengthy conversation with her (I talked, she listened) explaining to her that as this was a sales call (we pay all of our bills in full here, there is NOTHING in collections at my company) that I find it unbelievable they can be a functioning company with those as their sales staff. I also told her we will be sure to let any of our companies we work with know how completely unprofessional and rude the staff at Ranger Financials is.
