I'll let the email traffic speak for itself. I encourage consumers to avoid doing business with this group of companies/websites.
I only wish I had run them through ripoffreport.com before buying. They have threatened legal action if I post here. So, not only is their return policy horrible, but their intimidation policy is also not too shabby as well.
Merchant also refuses to even provide me with a digital copy of the emailed confirmation for my order that was supposedly sent at the time of the order. Says it will be a $5.00 charge for them to provide it to me.
Petty. This site is horrible. Stay away. It is impossible to mount the product I purchased over the top of a ski boot. See photo included. James at this company wants to conveniently ignore this fact and instead threaten legal action.
And all for...amount in question and drumroll...$52.75.
Product in question: http://www.safetycentral.com/noname142.html
Hi, I purchased 2 of these about 6 weeks ago for a ski trip. I did not even look at them until arriving to the resort yesterday. These clearly list that they can be used for skiing. This is entirely not the case since the length of the wire from the foot portion to the battery pack is 32 CM. This is entirely not enough to mount these above the standard ski boot, and this was the specific purpose for which I purchased these 2 sets of Cozy Feet. Below is the tracking on them since I cannot, for some reason, find the digital copy of the actual order. I would hope that you could back to track using the tracking number to arrive at my order number.
All of that being said, I want to return these. Please provide an return number and the return address. I understand your site has a 10-day policy. Fine, ok, I get it. However, Visa/Mastercard/AMEX will fair to differ with you in the event that I file a chargeback. This items is listed as for skiing, and it in no way functions for skiing. There would need to be approximately 12 CM more wire, at least, for this item to be used in skiing because only then would the buyer be able to mount it above his/her bootline as prescribed in the product details.
In any case, please let me know how you'd like to handle this. RMA is the easiest way for both you and I, but I am also well-versed in initiating chargebacks.

I fully expected this type of response. I will initiate a chargeback tonight. Not a problem. I am required to contact the merchant once to resolve the matter, and I have done this now. Claiming that your product works for skiing when in fact it does not is a valid chargeback under "item not as described".
Please issue me an RMA because I have to return this to you as part of the chargeback. If you do not wish to issue a RMA, then I will return it to your address of record listed on your website. I forward the delivery confirmation to my bank, they forward it to Visa, who then forwards it to your credit card processor, and then I am issued a refund. I have sold many thousands of dollars of items on the internet too, and the one thing that I hated, and still hate, to deal with are chargebacks.
Anyhow, you were given your opportunity. Please send me the RMA and my original order number. I will be returning these items, in any case, to the address below. After that, my obligation ends. I will, however, file a report with www.ripoffreport.com as well.

James:
Feel free to file suit. If you want to intimidate me, feel free. My only obligation is to return it to you. You can refuse it - it's up to you. I only have to show that it has been sent out to your company's business address of record.
It also says "skiing" and this item cannot be used for skiing. So, what we have is an impasse. I have highlighted in the ad you quote below.
If you want to take legal action, my address for service is below. You have no legal basis or merit for filing any legal action.
Your company's record on ripoffreport.com - http://www.ripoffreport.com/
I will also file a complaint with the FTC since it is not physically possible for this product to work with standard ski boots.
As a business owner, however, I would venture that sites like the ripoffreport should be of more concern to you.
Also, please send me a copy of my original sales receipt for $52.75. Below is the post date from my credit card company. You are required to provide this info upon request per FTC regulations. Thanks in advance.

These dirtbags never refunded ANYTHING even after the items were returned to this.
Give this company zero business. You will regret it.
Now, in perpetuity, they have a huge negative readily available to anybody doing a Google search. Very wise on their part.
