Silicon Valley Peripherals SVP Products, SVP-Tech REFUSED TO HONOR WARRANTY, REFUSED TO REPLY TO ALL INQUIRIES Freemont, California

I purchased an SVP (Silicon Valley Peripherals) camcorder model T-100 in Nov 2009 as a birthday present for my daughter through ebay seller. The camera came with a ONE YEAR warranty. About six months after owning camera the LCD screen died. I first attempted to notify seller via ebay, seller was unresponsive and I belive this customer is no longer in business. Regardless, camera came with one year warranty. I made NUMEROUS attempts (no less than 15) over the past three months to contact SVP. The company does not publish their phone number or mailing address, only a web email address. According to their return policy a customer must first obtain an RMA before returning any product or else the product will be shipped back. The shipping is at the customer's expense. The RIP OFF is due to the company refusing to respond to email inquiries and issue any RMA's, thus refusing to honor their warranty. What a scam. They will send the camera back to me without an RMA but it is impossible to get an RMA to return the camera. From other online postings I have learned people have sent their products back only to find the company never returns it. This company needs to be investigated by the California Attorney General's Office for DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES. Too bad I have less than $100 invested in this piece of junk camera or I would sue them in a heartbeat. I wish someone in California had the guts to file a class action suit. You can count me in as a co-plantiff. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THE PRODUCTS ARE CRAP, MADE IN CHINA AND WILL NEVER LAST.
