This company out of atlanta, SOUTHERN REO, engages in deceptive advertising and marketing of their bank owned properties. What they do is list properties in real estate search engines, and purposely typo the wrong asking price of one of the properties so that when you do a search engine by low price, their property comes up in the search engine. This drives traffic to their company and they will accept offers on this DEAL OF THE CENTURY property, then, after you give them a offer, you get the run around because the property was never intended to go at the asking price. I made a offer on a home and i smelled the game and sure enough got the round around and the property SUPPOSEDLY sold for 700 PERCENT HIGHER than the asking price. The reason i know this is a marketing scam is because this isnt the first time a "typo" has been done on one of their properties. In fact, they are not the only company that does this, just the only one i have personally dealt with. Buyer beware, if you make a offer on a ridiculously low home, your money may be tied up for nothing because they want you to send "proof of funds" with your offer.
