I made a order of a few Items on 12-4-2007 for the Christmas season, thinking I would recieve them in time for Christmas. Kind of forgot about the order, for awhile, then realized that I hadn't recieved my after Christmas is now gone. I have tried to call, can't reach by phone, no response by email. So I will try to fax and see what happens. It is apperant that they are not worried about taking care of our needs, as a consumer. My order was for $29 so it isn't that much, but who can afford to send money to companies who aren't taking care of sending there orders out to people. I will follow up with whatever they may do in the future, if I ever get ahold of them at all.

Starcrest of California: Not at all a "Rip Off"

On Thursday, November 1st, 2012, I ordered 5 items from Starcrest of California for a total of $38. On Monday, November 5th, 2012, I received all 5 items, along with their bill and, of course, advertisements for more of the same. Everything I received was as I had expected. Nothing was damaged, poorly packaged, or different from what was described.
Having been a catalog user since I worked for Sears Catalog in the early 1980s, I feel qualified to repute the "Rip Off" description of this company. First of all, you need to consider what you are getting for the price. If you expect high quality merchandise, you're better off ordering from a high qualitiy source. If you're looking for low cost merchandise, expect to get just that.
I did not expect high quality merchandise. I didn't even expect to get the merchandise as quickly as I did! It is phenomenal that it arrived 5 days after I had ordered it, and that included the weekend.
Secondly, if you're not sure about what you're going to get, don't order it!! You are better off going to a store and buying it.
Those of us who order from catalogs, frequently, expect that once in a while something will arrive defective or later than anticipated. Things often are out of stock and back-ordered. I don't order Christmas gifts a few weeks before Christmas, and expect them to be there on time and in perfect condition.
If it inconvenient or too expensive to return the merchandise, don't order from a catalog.
If you need something before a certain date, make certain you order it at least a month in advance.
I have ordered top quality merchandise on line, from very reputable companies, and have had problems with those orders. It's all part of the convenience of making purchases while sitting at home, and not having to worry about parking, crowds, and dealing with irritable people.
Starcrest of California proved to me that they are a reptable company, efficient, and fun to use. To those who have had a bad experience with them, I suggest that you use their website and contact their Customer Service. It's possible that something went wrong with your order, and they were unable to contact you. Here's their website: http://www.starcrest.com/home.do
Click on "Customer Service" and when you get to that page, click on "Contact us." I think you'd find that they will get back to you quickly. They don't want unhappy customers. It means a loss of business.

I have been a customer of Starcrest for many years and have only had a couple of bad experiences with products ordered. My money was refunded immediately.
