Swipebids.com seems to make a business out of ripping people off and stealing $150 in a membership scam package.  I thought I was just entering my credit card information in the event I wanted to buy some bids for this on-line auction site.  When I registered the card and hit enter, it automatically bought a membership for $150 which I had not agreed to, nor had I seen any mention of this.

When I saw the membership charge, I immediately contacted the online chat hoping to remedy the situation.  I asked for a cancellation of the membership and a refund.  I was given a lot of rhetoric about satisfied customers, etc. - I kept saying I just want a refund of my $150.  I was directed to a page on the website where you fill out a form for a refund, but it is actually for someone who uses the bids purchased with the $150 membership.  More rhetoric.  I told them, I would contact the bank.  They then locked the account so I cannot contact them - my login is invalid.

MAJOR SCAM. MAJOR RIPOFF.  The bank cannot back out the money, but said I could fill out a fraud report, and the bank will refund my money because of SwipeBids fraudulent transaction - they were not authorized to take my money.  Beware.  Fill a claim with your bank as soon as this happens.
