Symantec Rebate Ripoff Did not honor rebate Internet

Norton anti-virus was offered at retail with a $40 new customer rebate and another $40 rebate for the "pro version", making the initial purchase of the software "free". They only honored one rebate, even after I sent in the proof of installation they required. They responded once that I hadn't included the required proof. The second response was simply that I did not qualify any more, since the time to turn it in had expired ( the original paperwork was on time). They have since accepted my yearly renewal fee of $40.
