TAHITI VILLAGE How is it that this keeps happening LAS VEGAS Nevada

My husband and I visited Las Vegas last month for my 35th b-day and we too went on the ride to Tahiti Village and got suckered. We were both wondering why when we were going to miss our first tour why they told us we could drive up there because of insurance purposes

Anyways our anniversary is coming up and we were told when we were in Vegas that once we paid our entire downpayment we would be considered owners and could use the timeshare after we paid our maint. fee. When I called about trying to pay the fee I was told we had to pay the maint fee, plus transfer fee and general fees and that total is over $700.

We just paid over $1700, didn't have more to give up that soon when we weres told we could use it for $325. I e-mailed my contact rep and his wife replied saying she was going to let him know immediately; I think she felt really concerned because I mentioned cancelling. Within 2hrs another rep called that gave us the great deal.

He suggested us not to use our free week in Vegas and gave a bunch of reasons. Well when I got off the phone I had a trip booked at the Tahiti on Tropican because they didn't have anything available at the timeshare we bought. He used his employee discount and got us the 1bd rm from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning all for $100. It all sounds very good but I'm kind of skeptical; especially after seeing this site. When you have a gut feeling I guess you should go with it because I found the card I haven't seen since Vegas something told me to google it and this is what i got.
