Glad you could understand this report because I could not.  Regardless I did the same thing 10 years ago and will never do it again.  These losers are just about as low as one could go.

Reality Check

Title loans are one step below Payday loans, because unlike payday loans you are giving them the title to your car.  Of course if you miss a payment they are going to repo it, because YOU gave them the permission to do so when you got the loan.  Did you really just expect them to say to just pay when you can?  If they did that why would they hold the title to the car?  Why wouldn't they just give you the money on your word?

If the car is repossessed I figure your son is in some sort of college and old enough to take public transportation.  Is it as easy or convenient as having a car of course not, but he could do that.  Perhaps friends or relatives could take him.

I am not trying to be mean, however if a title loan was the difference between your son going to school and not, it was probably just a matter of time before something like this happened.  There are financial aid programs that may have been able to help if there is truly a need.  If there wasn't a need and the issues are strictly a "money management" issue, then perhaps you should work on those first.
