Transam Associates, Inc. Tells you to pay for software ahead of time which is over $500. and then says practice and test. You may pass the test, but they will never admit to that you will always have errors even if you don't. They never plan to pay you or let you do "live work" ever! They take your money and run! Don't trust them they seem innocent enough at first but it didn't take long to realize they are frauds! Valrico Florida

I was looking for an at home transcription based company back in May. Transam approacted me via email. It at first seemed legitimate and that they would help me by getting better.

The only specialty they give you is rheumatology and they have you do clinic notes and test with a consultation they never let you train on any other specialty or any other report type. The supposed doctor dictating the reports has a rich southern drawl that is at times hard to differentiate. The reports you type you know there is something wrong cause the consistency is so not there at all.

They told me back at beginning that if I was not liking the work that I would not get a refund for the software purchased. They also told me that "they would never fire you or let you go, you would have to be the one that quit or left". I just was wanting to trust that this was a legitimate company. I even looked on BBB's website to see if there were any reports on them. Three months I did not find anything so I kinda used blind faith so to speak.

This last Friday I took a test after three long months of waiting and doing their practice group files. I did everything I was suppose to in regards to formatting, spacing, spelling, correct terminology, etc. I know I passed that test but they came back saying I had all these errors. I have been doing transcription for over a year and a half before I started with Transam. I knew that those supposed errors were false.

I did file a report with the BBB on Transam Associates last Friday night. All I want is my money back in full. I am so disappointed in this company for taking people like me for a ride when we were wanting to trust that they were real. So if you get an email from Transam Associates delete don't even respond and report them.
