The loan officer I dealt with conveyed the loan was a fixed 1% 30 year refinance mortgage. I had asked questions when the paperwork did not agree with what she said. I went ahead and had an appraisal done at my cost of $400. When the papers were ready at the escrow co, they were not at all what the company had promised. I rescinded, and the company president wanted to put together a new deal. He said the loan officer I'd dealt with had been fired for "personal problems". He would not refund my $400, unless I made a deal with his company. I did not think I should deal with his company, and told them so due to the fact they were, in my opinion, dishonest in their practice.
I think they owe me the $400. My best friend also had been taken in by this company, and she also lost $400.

Twin Capital is a great company!

I worked at Twin Capital from 2006 until late 2007 when I moved back east to take over my parents business. I actually worked in the same department as Brittany and can tell you that her story is filled with lies.
One should question the fact that this women worked for the company for a very short period of time 4 plus years ago and only now has something to say about the company 4 years later...very suspicious. There were many strange rumors which flew around the office which makes her character very questionable. I will not get into them, however you do the math. Twenty year old, single mother, huge tattoo on her forearm (Twin Capital Mortgage was very liberal when it came to that type of stuff) , and piercings in her face. I worked in the same department as her and can tell you that we worked in an office stuffing envelopes and running credit reports next to the loan processors. We had absolutely no interaction with the loan officers with maybe the exception of handling their mail. She was never offered a position of promotion, in fact I believe she was let go for not showing up to work on time and for harrassing one of the sales people (rumor has it she was trying to get him to take her out and he would not). Not sure, but this girls opinion of Twin should belong in the garbage along with her lies.
Lastly I was in that meeting when Mike Shaz spoke to us and he never said any of the things she mentioned. It was a motivational meeting where he was telling us we all had opportunity to grow within the company. It is sad that people have to make up lies about other people to get attention. When you read her comments, think of the one person in your office who you wish they would fire and who thinks the world owes them something and that is Brittany.
Twin Capital always tried to help their clients and employees and was a great company for me to work at. I eventually got promoted to Junior Loan Officer and then Loan Officer and learned more there than any other job Ihave ever had. Shame on you Brittany, you really need to get some help.

Don't trust this company!!!

I worked for this comapny in 2005. We started with just WAY too many people in a s*** hole of an office on divisadero, then they moved to the office on townsend. On a daily basis Mike M, one of the owners, would completely lose his temper throw things, scream at all of the employees. People were terrified of him.
One day, Mike called my dept. into his office where he proceeded to scream bloody murder at us, telling my co worker that he wanted to "rip off his head and s**t down his throat" and told me I was a terrible mother because I had blatently refused to work any over-time without compensation, which they asked us to do quite often.
I was asked by loan officers frequantly about my skills in photoshop. Apparently loan officers working for this company were creating fake bank statements for potential clients so their loans would have a better chance of being approved.
Loan officers didnt have a care in the world for their clients and would constantly avoid their calls. They would promise them the world, and when the paperwork was submitted, the officer was nowhere to be found.
Half way through my employment there I was promised a promotion, which was given to me, then a day later taken away. They had decided to get rid of the position and all the hard work, and long hours I had put in were for nothing.
There were many hours I worked for this company that, when I asked for it, the question of compensation for all of that was a big fat NO. They would not give me my overtime although I clearly had a legal right to it.

The Clients in this instance was offered a 30 year ARM ( Adjustable Rate Mortgage) with a fixed minimum payment that starts at 1%. All paperwork, and disclosures pertaining to the loan were sent out to the client representing these facts.Eileen's questions were answered in a professional and correct manner, so much so that she referred a friend of hers to do the loan with us as well, thus reflecting that she trusted the company and felt that we were taking care of her.
During the loan process, we require that all of our clients get their home appraised. It is the only out of pocket expense that is required throughout the process and is paid to an outside 3rd party licensed appraiser. We disclose to all of our clients as did we to Eileen , that this was her responsibility and that regardless if the loan closed or not, that she would be responsible to pay for the appraisal. Eileen signed and agreed to this part of the process.
Late in the loan process Eileen's Loan Officer, Ashley Manshum, had a some "personal problems", a close family member was diagnosed with cancer. She was asked to resign from the company for the benefit of her clients, because we at TCM felt that she could not give her clients the attention that they needed during this time of personal family tragedy. She moved out of San Francisco, back to her home state of Ohio. Unfortunately a couple of her clients felt the brunt of this unfortunate and tragic situation. In this case Eileen and her friend, felt as if they were not getting the attention and customer service that they were due.
Mike Mirshahzadeh, the President of the company, explained to Eileen the circumstances regarding Ashley's departure, and expressed his concerns, offering to fix any of the problems that Eileen and her friend had with the loans, at which time Mike explained that he would reimburse the two of them for their appraisals after the loans closed. Eileen declined our offer, and decided to part her business with us. Her demands for reimbursement for her appraisal are unreasonable, and are against our company policy, as we stated in our initial disclosure that Eileen and her friend signed and agreed to when they sent in their intial paperwork.
Twin Capital Mortgage acted with dignity and integrity as we always do with our clients. Unfortunately tragedy struck the life of one of our loan officers, and our repetitive attemps to correct the situation were met with unreasonable and non cooperation on the part of Eileen and her friend . I am sorry that things did not work out, however we did everything in our power to take care of these clients, and they could not be satisfied by our attempts.
