The company uses at least 3 different names: United Marketing Consultants, LLC; American Marketing Strategies, LLC; and "Debt Free Rights." It also used to go by "American Mortgage Marketing, LLC," but I believe that entity got shut down. The company operates out of Phoenix, Arizona.
The company conducts aggressive marketing campaigns (via telephone) to sell "work from home" website businesses for hundreds to thousands of dollars that the company knows in advance will generate very little or no revenue. The company has sold these scam business websites to probably hundreds of victims. The bogus business websites are under the "debtfreerights.com" domain. A Google search on "debtfreerights.com" will show you dozens of sites, each of which has been purchased by a scammed victim of this company.
The company claims that it will pay you $25 for each qualified person who signs up on your website for a free consultation on debt relief. Qualified persons must have at least $10,000 in unsecured debt. The company does NOT do any debt settlement itself. Rather it simply screens people who sign up to make sure they are qualified and then passes them on to a different debt relief company with which it has an arrangement. The problem is that these business websites will never generate anywhere near the amount of revenue required to recover their costs. The company makes its money from selling the website businesses and advertising (at ridiculously exorbitant prices), so it could care less.
The one victim of this scam whom I know is a widow in her 80s on a fixed income. She was persuaded by this company to purchase a website business for about $700 and then advertising for $4000. Her website did not generate a single dollar of revenue. She paid, for example, over $2400 for advertising that the company turned around and purchased from another company (www.trafficexcess.com) for under $20. Her entire $4700 investment was lost.

After I filed a complaint about United Marketing Consultants LLC (aka "Debt Free Rights") with the Arizona state Office of the Attorney General, I was contacted by the company. The company denied any wrongdoing and agreed to a settlement. Thus I no longer have personal grievance with the company.

UPDATE: Debt Free Rights (aka United Marketing Consultants) Scam
AUTHOR: justice_seeker - (U.S.A.)

UPDATE:
Through contact info. on http://www.800notes.com , we have heard from several other people who have lost between $150 and $6000. Aside from bbracy who submitted a rebuttal to our original report, we know of no one who has earned a single dollar from their Debt Free Rights website.
You can now tell us your own experience with Debt Free Rights, get more information about our experiences, contact us, or get information about internet business opportunities in general at:
http://www.cyberspeck.com/debtfreescam
To bbracy: Your rebuttal was awfully vague. How much did you spend to get your Debt Free Rights website? How much did you spend on advertising? Did you buy it from Debt Free Rights? (Reminder: as mentioned in the original report, an 81year-old woman bought advertising from Debt Free Rights for $2400 that the company turned around and purchased elsewhere for under $20.) How much money have you received in commissions? Might you be a Debt Free Rights insider submitting a false statement? Assuming so, haven't you devastated enough people's lives? How can you live with yourself??

I was skeptical before I signed up because I have had some run-ins with illegitimate companies in the past and I almost gave up until, I found this program and I love it!! Its a great source of sideline income! I would recommend getting set up with Debt Free Rights to anyone who is looking for an easy to run and effective home based business. I have not had one issue with this company in fact every time that I call in I get excellent service and they actually answer when I call (Unlike past home based business I have invested in)! I just received my second commission check in the mail today and I can honestly see my successful this program!
