US Bank Home Mortgage, US Bank ripoff Did NOT Refund My Money Remaining From My Home Repair Reserve Account as Agreed In Writing Owensboro Kentucky

I had a Home Mortgage Loan with Firstar Bank which also became US Bank. We had an agreement when I purchased my home that $25 a month would be included in my Mortgage Payment and deposited into a joint savings account with Firstar Bank with me and Petersen Housing and Reinvestment Corp as the joint depositors.

An initial deposit of $1000 opened the savings account. I had to pay $25 per month extra with my Mortgage Payment to be deposited in this account which was for any repairs I needed to make. I never withdrew any money from this account.

The agreement I have in writing states that if I were to sell the house or pay off the Firstar Bank Mortgage and the Petersen Housing Loan, the funds remaining in the joint savings account with Petersen Housing would revert to my sole control.

Well, November 2002 I refinanced my Home Loan with a different Bank and paid off the Firstar/US Bank Home Mortgage Loan. When I called US Bank to inquire about my Reserve Account remaining funds a representative informed me that the money, approximately $1611 had been applied to the principal balance on my Mortgage before pay off which reduced my principal balance.

When I told them about the agreement and the money being refunded to me they told me that that policy changed when they became US Bank. They never notified me of this change. I have written several letters to US Bank to which they have not responded, and my attorney has also sent US Bank a letter to which they have not responded.

Good Luck to anyone who banks with US Bank. I hear nothing but bad things about US Bank and I would NEVER, EVER, purposely bank with US BANK or recommend them to anyone who wants a trustworthy bank.
