Honeywell Security Group (a distribution branch of Honeywell) put me in contact with Rich after I submitted an online questionnaire about home security systems.  Rich was awesome at first, he got our system setup, then came out again to install more features as needed.

After 8 months of flawless service there was a countywide blackout.  When power was restored the system was giving us error codes.  It took 13 calls to get Rich on the phone, we figured he was busy so we let it slide.  Once I got him on the phone we tried to troubleshoot the problem.

He outlined a 7 step process, but then had to get off the phone to attend a meeting.  When I reached step 7, the alarm tripped and went into "panic" mode.  Police and fire were dispatched before I could contact my monitoring company.  7 days later I got 2 $100 fines from my county for having an unregistered burglar/fire alarm system.

I disputed the claim, because Rich left a copy of the registration certificate.  It seems the field for "installers license number" was left blank.  3 days after that my monitoring company sends a letter claiming Rich has stopped paying the service contract for all USA Security customers.

I have been trying to get in contact with Rich for the last 8 weeks.  I've left 29 voice-mails, 15 emails and 3 faxes.  His cell phone number was disconnected about 6 weeks ago, so I assume he will not be returning my calls.
