White Gold Goldens Carolyn Evans too many dogs poor health conditions of the dogs and on the property Rice, Virginia

 I cannot believe someone would say Carolyn isn’t a clean person and doesn’t shower daily! These complaints I’ve read are ridiculous and untrue! Carolyn has a beautiful home and property.

She loves her dogs very much and they often go in the house and walk around her very large yard (when not in her large fenced yard). I’m really not sure how a dog breeder could do much better. I have seen dirty conditions/puppy mills before and this is the ABSOLUTE FARTHEST THING FROM THAT!

I just had to weigh in as I know the family well. Especially after reading some pretty outrageous remarks. If there was any truth to those allegations, I would have bothered to post a rebuttal, but it’s just not true! Not at all. Her dogs are gorgeous btw.

We purchased a pup from here in 2012. Carolyn was clearly in love with her dogs as we are ours. I believe she now sells to other reputable dog sellers so you cannot go direct. The negative commenter seems to have some undisclosed agenda. Weird.

Carolyn now has this breeder selling her dogs too http://www.camelothouseretrievers.com/index named Kim Paciotti Phone Number 704-877-7821 and Rechere Goldens Jamel Hamka too in Statesville NC being she is in fact a puppy mill. She is paying others to breed her dogs and sell the puppies because she has so many of them and with all the complaints out there on her. Watch out everybody! Be Careful you Do NOT Buy from any of these three breeders out there getting involved with her mill and unethical breeding practices.

   I purchased my dog from Carolyn in 2010. The dog was NOT sold to me until after I had several lengthy phone conversations between the two of us. I would think a puppy mill would take a caller's money on the spot. The dog was flown from Virginia to Ohio (ONLY because I could NOT get off of work to split the drive to meet Carolyn herself half way!) I met him (the puppy) at the airport (cargo) he came in a big, clean crate, with food, a chew toy, along with a towel that had been rubbed on his mom to help keep him calm on the short flight. I spoke with Carolyn again as soon as I got him and exchanged several e-mails with her in his first and 2nd year. He is happy, healthy and just what I wanted. NO purebred dog is going to be as healthy as a mutt you may find at a shelter but it appears she is trying hard.  I have not been to Virginia personally, however I would guess that on some days, I might be challenged as well with a husband, kids and attempting to breed dogs. And worms? Really? Most puppies DO have worms.  Please educate yourself about pets and parasites. It can be as easy as catching a cold and most are easily eliminated.  I would purchase from her again. 

This lady is all about breeding for money and studding her dogs for money not the welfare of the animanls. She breeds and studs dogs to numorous peope being very money hungry. She watches what other breeders do what other breeders have and talks about others. I too have been to her place and saw worms as well and dogs on concrete. This is how she makes her mortgage payments is off puppy buyers money. She is not a clean lady by any means. She does not shower daily and leaves bloody clothes on the floors in her home when asked if my child can use her bathroom. I left and did not buy from her after seeing that when attending to my daughter with making sure she washes her hands. Mike

These negative comments on WhiteGoldGoldens, Carolyn and Dale are simply unfair and NOT true at ALL!  For the record let me state that I have no other connection or history here with WhiteGold other than being a very, very satisfied and thankful customer! 

Our family lost our 12 year-old Golden, Bonney and were heartbroken.  We live in Virginia and found WhiteGold and Carolyn down near Hampden-Sydney / Farmville where our sons attended school.  Carolyn was so attentive and spent a lot of time with us answering questions.  She truly cared and treated us like we were her only clients.

We visited WhiteGold several times and each time were welcomed with open arms.  We sat on the floor in her big Puppy Room in her house and played and visited with Carolyn and Dale and all of her puppies for hours.  The room was big and clean and bright and safe and and each little puppy and adult was clean, loved, happy and very healthy...absolutely NO exceptions!

On another visit we sat and played with the little puppies and big-girl and boy pups out in the several-acre, carefully fenced, gated yard of lush green grass...no mud or dirt.  All pups were again, clean, happy and very healthy and obviously loved.   To call this a puppy-mill or similar is just totally wrong and plain mean.

I am very familiar with dog breeding and grew up in Virginia where my father was a breeder of Champion English Pointers back in the day. That being said, we chose our new White Golden puppy from WhiteGold.  Her name is Daisy Mae and she is a brilliant, strong, healthy 1.5 year-old and the love of our lives.  The day we picked her up, Carolyn spent a lot of time with us on do's and don'ts, handed us a file of all of her vet records, pedigree, written instructions etc.  Then gave us a couple weeks of the food she had been weaned on.  We could not have asked for better care.  We would get another pup from Carolyn / White Gold in a minute.  Wonderful Folks, Loving Breeder...

I have read all of the reports and rebuttals on these breeders. I would like to say that i have purchased two goldens from her. Jack is now three and Lily is now two. Both of my dogs are wonderful and are healthy. My family and I visited them several times while deciding to purchase a pup and while getting two! Carolyn does not mistreat her dogs in any way and she very much loves all of her dogs. I am a very type a and organized person and yes it may be slightly unorganized at times there but like another writer said it is refreshing! They are in the country and that is how they and the dogs live. All of the dogs get run time every day at different times.I am not a breeder but as a customer of hers I have not seen anything that should make someone not want one of her sweet and healthy pups.

Dark, dreary?  Really??? I have visited White Gold Goldens many times and the dogs are not mistreated.   They have a huge fenced in yard (at least 4 acres) to play in and she lets them out a lot. She keeps some of the dogs in the house, which is beautiful and big (about 3,000 sq foot).  Nothing dark or dreary about that.   Most of her dogs have osa hips in the 90%,  you do not get results like that leaving your dogs on hard concrete. We brought a puppy from her that was well adjusted and very healthy. The person that wrote the complaint  is someone that has never visited White Gold Goldens or has a personal  vendetta against the owners.  Its a shame that one person can try to take down a business because of jealously or could they be the competition or someone that lost to White Golds Goldens in a dog show?  hmmmm just wondering...

I just would like to respond to the complaints made towards Carolyn Evans of Whitegolden goldens. I have purchased 2 goldens from Carolyn and they truly are the sweetest pups we have ever had and believe me we have had several! I paid a visit to their kennel and though it may seem a little disorganized I found this to be a little refreshing! Their son was running around playing with the puppies and I do believe that children at the age of their son speak the truth! There were a lot of puppies running around but definitely not "puppy mill" numbers!! It appeared to me to be a family run business. I may not know much about "rip offs" but I do have good intuition and I would not hesitate to buy again from Carolyn! I love my babies and I am thankful everyday for Carolyn!

Dale in same city on this rebuttal is the breeder himself talking about his own kennel trying to defend what others have seen when gone out there unexpectedly along with his so called wife that knows nothing other than to go get clearances on the dogs and to breed them age 16 mos. He is not the a visitor to this kennel as he claims to be in the rebuttal. Take a Good look at the owners "Welfare" being when you see them in person with not being showered nor cleaned with wearing bloody clothing appearing to have been days since last bath or shower. I was out at this kennel and saw what I saw and if you want to contact me please do so. When you go there they talk bad about other breeders and put themselves up on a pedistool thinking they have the best dogs out there but breed them until they can be bred anymore of litter and litter after litter. They look like just as bad as Silvermine Goldens does in being a puppy mill. They breed dogs before age 2. And anybody can get a championship title on any dog in only 1 day at the international dog show. When you look to buy a Champion sired puppy make sure it is NOT from here in USA with International IABCA dog show make sure it is from a AKC dog show here in USA which those are the actual real Championship of a dog to buy a offspring from.

I have never given much credit to anyone who files any kind of derogatory statements about other people when they dont have the gumption to even say who they are. The Sad thing here is that someone has written this garbage and obviously knows nothing about raising dogs. The dogs at this kennel are healthier than most any other kennel. Other breeders wonder what it is that makes all of the dogs so healthy. Every dog here that is over 16 months has all of it's clearances. Maybe the writer would have the dogs lay on the ground instead of concrete. The concrete gets cleaned with bleach twice a week. Why pray tell would there be any reason to put dogs that are not for sale and not being bred on the web site? The web site is to sell dogs. In the last three months there have been a total of 34 buyers or prospective buyersthat have come here, some come two or three times. Poor anonymous has nothing better to do with her time but tell other people what they should do and then hides behind a fake name. I am a regular visitor to this kennel, kids play  with the dogs and puppies, the dogs are happy and healthy. Golden retrriever heaven.
