Longer description of what happened:

Posted my honest review with details of the stay on Cabovillas.com After 36hrs i noticed that my review was not approved by CaboVillas.com. No response or follow up to this day.

So i contacted them using their webpage Online chat, After providing them proof that we rented the property such as reservation number, fullname , email address and phone number, i was told by the customer service rep that he was not sure why my post was not approved but that he would speak  with someone internally to find out once again he requested by phone number which i confirmed after which he said that someone would contact me directly.

No one followed up. i would like to add that after about 2 minutes of been on the chat, their supervisor joined the chat and remained an observer.  That supervisors name is  Alex who is the same person that helped us with the entire rental process.

Manteo Casa Cabo: An unparalleled view for an uncomfortable environment.

Unfortunately, my experience with Manteo Casa Caba was a great disappointment and I offer an honest appraisal explaining exactly why this is so. The cliff side location and elevation of the Villa is one of the things that makes it so enticing and offer such a breathtaking view. However, for all its beauty this elevation combined with the steady influx of cool sea breezes make for a naturally cool and even cold environment. Anyone familiar with the local climate and the Villa’s elevated ocean front location would know this.

The Main Features section on the website listed “temperature control” no fewer than eight times throughout Villa’s interior. You would reasonably expect any “temperature control” system to protect the guests from experiencing extreme temperatures from both ends of the spectrum, whether extreme heat or cold; not so.

The “smart house system” with temperature control wasn’t very smart at all. There was no controlling for extremely cold temperatures; there was no heating. The air conditioning units made matters worse by adding more cold air on top of the already chilling ambient temperatures. More importantly, even my bedroom suite completely lacked any heater and was like sleeping in a cold cave.

So, regrettably, something as basic as the Villa’s cold interior temperature was never corrected and my guest and I had to resort to using sweaters inside during our stay.
