On August 30, 2009 I purchased a auto warranty from AA Autowarranty. This warranty was told to me by Mat At AA Autowarranty to cover my Engine Transmission, and Differential. He informed me that my warranty was going to be in effect from the first day I purchased the vehicle warranty. On Sept 30 I called the warranty company to report my vehicle had broken down They informed me to call a wrecker service and pay the towing this made me mad because it was my understanding that I had towing included in my warranty. I had the vehicle towed to Bill Butler Chrysler, Dodge. It took me about two weeks going back and forth with the claims company and the warranty company to get them to approve for them to start the claim on my vehicle so the dealer could start repairing my vehicle. On Oct. 8 they sent a diagnosis request for to the dealer to have them tare down my transmission and find out what the problem was.
On the 14 of October they informed me they was going to send a adjuster out to take a look at the van. On the 15 I found out from the dealer they was not going to pay to have my vehicle repair. They informed me that the warranty company said that they was not going to fix it because of the problem they claimed was pre-existing from years of wear and tear of normal driving over the life of the vehicle. This was really stupid to me seem they knew upfront what the mileage was on my vehicle before we had a agreement for the warranty. They also informed me they would not pay for my vehicles tow, vehicle diagnostics, rental, or any thing the repair company had done. I am currently out of pocket about $300.00 from the rental and tow. and the repair company is going to charge around $800.00 for the work they have done so far. I hope someone can help me with this problem or put this in the hands of some one who can. This is a rip off scheme that a lot of warranty companies are using to steal peoples money. I am going to do what ever I can to take legal actions against this company.

I just tried to file a claim with AA auto. Good luck. They took the money and ran. I thought they were the company I had the policy with but found out they just sell. I was led to beleave at the time of the sale AA Auto was covering me but now know that a second administrator plus a third party pay the claims. Surprise, the third party went under.I was told by AA Auto I should have read the fine print.
At no time was this explained to me or hinted by AA auto that they just sold not covered. What they did tell me is how good the coverage was.

While the rebuttal from the employee at AA Auto Warranty is somewhat true (they dont pay or approve claims), they are the ones who touted this plan as the best thing since sliced bread. They knowingly sold thousands of these policies. They knew how bad this company was for paying claims. They also constantly misrepresented the policy to cover way more than it actually does. Also they tell you that you will get all of your money back at the end if you don't make any claims. AA Auto Warranty is the fraudulent company here. They have been doing this for years. Not to mentioned they charged nearly three times over the cost of the policy. If and when CDWS goes out of business, AA Auto Warranty will be responsible to refund all profits made on the policies. This is what happens when greedy owners run a company. They will sell anything to make a buck. They will take a crap company, mark it up by astronomical numbers and sell it to you and claim they dont have anything to do with every claim getting denied. There are good brokers out there. There are good warranty administrators out there too. It is all about doing your research. Any company that starts coverage right away and tells you to put a product in your vehicle is 100% a scam. CDWS is the resason why so many other brokers have gone belly up.

I f you sell a policy for an auto that has XXXX number of miles on it, and you know it is a USED auto, THEN claim The Pre-existing BS like a HEALTH insurance does......
YOUR company IS A FRAUD.
EXAMPLE:
I buy INSURANCE and or change jobs, HEALTHY for 50 years! Have heat problem, do heart bypass surgery. Then you dont pay the bill because i have way and tear from old age. Deny claim and leave my with the bill!

I will not buy your product, which i was looking at today!

To whoever Vadsky is : If you're going to put my name down in a rebuttal at the very least use proper grammar so it could pass as me. I don't know who you are, but it's been a long time and I don't care about what AA does anymore, and I don't know why you do. Grow up please and leave me alone. Use another name.

AA Autowarranty sold you a Product warranty from CDWS and they knew what they were selling. Nobody would ever buy CDWS Product warranty if they knew what it's all about. AA Autowarranty tricked everyone into buying worthless CDWS Product warranty. AA Autowarranty is no doubt guilty of all the accusation. No excuse. AA Autowarranty really should admit what they did to people and refund all the money they stole from people. AA Autowarranty is also responsible for all the consequential damages occurred as they were 100% aware of what they were selling. Just search CDWS and you'll find yourself a long list of complaints.

This rebuttal is filed on behalf of AA Auto Protection, one of the companies mentioned in this report. AA Auto Protection is a broker of vehicle protection plans. We do not approve, deny, or process claims. We did not deny Broc's claim. We present plans to customers, and process enrollments. Broc selected one plan of the several that were presented. We do not offer any plans, nor have we ever, that are active on the first day after enrollment. All calls are monitored by our company, and misrepresentation of plans is not tolerated.
Broc's claim was made only 1 month after enrollment in the plan. His claim was denied because it was judged to be a pre-existing condition. Meaning, the problem with his vehicle was more than 2 weeks old. This was evident by the wear shown on the failed components. The amount of wear visible was more than could have been created over a 2 week period. Therefore, it was denied as a pre-existing condition.
The plan that Broc selected will pay for legitimate claims, but none will pay for pre-existing conditions. Given the amount of wear on the failed parts, it's reasonable to conclude that it was evident at the time of enrollment that the vehicle would soon need repairs. Obtaining a warranty or vehicle protection plan with the intent of using it to repair a problem that currently exists on a vehicle is insurance fraud.
