AAA has shown that they like to play with prices and coverage on their website sign up. There were three options on the website, and I signed up for the Plus coverage. The screen does not indicate anywhere about a waiting period for policy to take effect, and everything was highlighted and bold lettering to get you to where you sign up. When I needed the services from the AAA company, I came out to find out they used deceptive business practices.
I had to spend out of pocket something that was not mentioned up front, and that only a lawyer would see in small 8 points, and in a non- bold or even non-underlined lettering. This information would have made me chosen other services that were less costly, especially when it came to making choice from Plus or Premier coverage that commenced in 7 days after payment is applied, and that information would have made go elsewhere for services for roadside assistance that was needed. On that same day, I spoke to a representative on the phone from AAA customer support and she admitted to me that she thought it was not fair what happened.

Note:    If you see in my receipt number 1 type of service purchased: Plus.

if you see in my receipt number 3 no mentioned anywhere of waiting period

if you see AAA deceptive receipt number 2 what they state of service purchased: Basic.

They are not stupid, they have a waiting period specifically to prevent the type of thing you are trying to pull.  Every insurance company does that.  Otherwise, you'd just buy the membership when you needed a tow and cancel it immediately after.

And I just went to the website to sign up, it says right under the pricing information that roadside assistance is available 48 hours after signing up.  Maybe you should learn to read.

The Dumbing Down of America

YOU agreed to the Terms and Conditions when YOU didn't even bother to READ what you were signing BEFORE you agreed to it! You can make up any excuse you want and blame everybody as well but BY YOUR OWN ADMISSION, those points were in the agreement you signed! Again, obvious example of the Dumbing Down of America. Complete lack of FINANCIAL COMMON SENSE. Anybody with half a brain READS what they are signing BEFORE agreeing to its terms!
