Aguiar’s Towing in Adelanto CA is a Ripoff

Our truck, a Volvo semi, had an engine problem on 11-20-22. Aguiar’s was called to tow the tractor and trailer back to Fontana. The break down occurred approximately 10 miles into AZ. Aguiar’s sent 2 units, a wrecker for the tractor and a tractor for the trailer. On the way back, about a mile into CA the driver noticed the trailer was fully engulphed in flames. Aguiar’s Towing has not provided copies of the driver pre-trip inspection report or the driver’s federally mandated daily logs. Aguiar’s Towing has not paid the claim of over $68,833.67. Aguiar’s Towing and their Insurance company (Obsidian Insurance) has acknowledged the claim, however the 2 adjusters have bounced responsibility for processing back and forth for over 18 months. The adjusters have not even been able to confirm coverage for the accident. The adjusters are not returning phone calls, emails or letters. At this point I am not sure they have any insurance at all.
