This report is false and spurious for multiple reasons. I only adopted out a few kittens in July of 2019, and I have never had any clients report issues to this degree in all the years I have been in business. While the author is likely hiding behind a false IP/ location, I also did not adopt a kitten out to the Cincinnati area in that time frame.

Furthermore, all of my kittens come with a health guarantee and written contract. My vets and I are easily accessible to assist clients with any problems they encounter. Why would I tie myself to a legally binding contract that I had no intention of honoring?

I would encourage the original author of this report to submit micro chipped verified vet invoices and /or testing reports to me directly and I would handle this as per my sales contract states. Again with no evidence confirming these allegations I do believe that this is a false report designed solely to damage my reputation. I stand behind my kittens, and my guarantees.

A-Kerr’s kittens leave with an extensive 5 year health guarantee as well as support from both myself and my veterinarian. Our health gaurantee is back by all kittens are seen at least twice, if not more, by my vet. We do fecal testing before kittens leave and their parents have all been tested with conventional means and PCR panels to catch and eliminate any parasites or organisms that could cause digestive problems.

At any time clients can have their vets consult with ours to provide the very best care possible. Because of this guarantee and the close contact I have with my clients and vet team, I am made aware of any health issues that might occur when they are handled properly. With all that being said, cats and kittens are living entities and I realize that not every health issue that may arise can be controlled or cured.

My contract states the following : If Buyer’s veterinarian discovers the cat is not in good health as guaranteed, the BUYER must contact A-Kerr’s Bengals and A-Kerr’s veterinarian immediately and the BUYER must provide A-Kerr’s Bengals with a written explanation signed by the BUYER’s veterinarian (with microchip verification) as to the illness that has been determined. Kitten must be placed in quarantine during this time until cleared by either the BUYER’s or SELLER’s veterinarian. If the cat or kitten can’t be cured, A-Kerr’s Bengals will replace the kitten with one of equal value as soon as a kitten / cat is available.

I do agree with the original author that anyone should be careful in buying a kitten as this should be a well thought out, well researched decision. As such, I make myself available to potential clients to visit my cats, my cattery, and my home. 

I have taken the time to have my veterinarian inspect the cattery every year, we hold both the TICA Outstanding Cattery Certification and the CFA Cattery of Excellence Certification. Any of my actual clients can vouch for the fact that I am available to my clients both before and after the sale. I will always encourage my clients to direct any questions or concerns to me directly and I, in turn, will respond in a timely manner.
