Allegiance Van Lines broke their promise, broke my things, and is unwilling to provide their process to submit a claim. I chose them as they seemed to have a lot of 5-star reviews both on their website and Google. Through research, it appears that they have a strategy to mainly post positive reviews and bury or delete negative or 1-star reviews.

I have tried to leave reviews of my experience on Google, Yelp, Home advisor and the owner has flagged my content to remove or they bury it with positive reviews immediately after I have posted. In my opinion, this marketing strategy on their website and google to promote positive reviews is misleading as so many consumers including me use the reviews to influence and decide on what service or product to buy.

Additionally, they described their differentiator as a family business using the same crew and truck from pick up to delivery for an interstate move. I even got this in writing from them along with their binding estimate. What happened was they broke their promise to use the same truck and crew for pickup and delivery. Their people arrived very late and worked hastily, poorly wrapped my things, scratched the wooden floors at the house, and repacked my stuff into a different truck without alerting me of this change.

They packed the 26ft U-Haul truck to appear full so I was forced to make hard decisions of what things to leave behind. When they arrived for drop-off, the truck was not only different but so was the driver and the crew.  4 Hispanic men picked up my things at pick up but at delivery, only 2 African-American men plus a different driver showed up. I had less manpower to help move my things and had to have my husband and son help. Surprisingly, the new 26ft Enterprise truck was not as full to capacity as the original 26ft U-Haul truck so I believe I was overcharged for unused space.

As part of their service, they said they would reassemble my things but they did not do that and they did not have any tools to do assembly work. I also noticed that many of my things were very badly damaged, scratched, or broken. The driver never provided me with an inventory list to check off my things as they unloaded the truck nor did  I get a bill of lading. He took off before I could finalize and get the necessary paperwork. I have reached out to the customer service and they would not give me their process to submit a claim nor have they been helpful or willing to resolve the issues. The customer service person was rude and sent bullying emails and texts. I would not recommend using their service.
