AMC Windows and Doors, Las Vegas AMC cannot fix the defective windows and doors that they delivered for my now house. Las Vegas Nevada

In 2020, we bought tilt and turn windows and a sliding door from AMC, a Chinese importer of windows in Las Vegas. Our contractor went to pick up the windows and sliding door and he was very astonished that the items came unassembled.

The contractor assembled the doors together with an AMC employee. During the final house inspection, we noticed that one of the windows was stuck and cannot be opened, and one could not be tilted. We also noticed that the sliding door would not close properly and couldn't be locked. I called AMC to send out somebody to fix the items, but they told me that they don't have anybody who can fix them.

AMC sells expensive windows and doors, but they have nobody to fix them. I tried to hire two window specialists, but nobody was able to fix them because they are not the U.S. standard. After begging AMC to help, they sent out a sales rep (Sonja) who tried to fix the door on the phone with help from her Chinese colleges.

She somehow fixed the door so that it could be closed, but not that it could be locked. Three months after Sonja 'fixed' the door, it wouldn't open. I called Sonja and she just said that she can't do anything about it, and I had to call somebody to pry it open, ruining the frame in the process.

Now, the door handle broke off, and I asked AMC for replacement parts, but they don't have any. Sonja told me to get in touch with my contractor because he is liable, but my contractor doesn't know how to fix them. All I want from AMC is for them to fix the windows and the door, and not even under warranty, but they can't because they don't know how.

Sonja from AMC was very unprofessional dealing with the situation, she even said that she helped me enough by coming out to my house to 'fix' the door, and that she can't help me anymore. I asked Sonja if she can recommend somebody who can fix the windows and the door, but Sonja doesn't know anybody who could fix them.

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO SELL WINDOWS AND DOORS IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO FIX ANYTHING. Do not buy from AMC, it is not worth the trouble. Today, my sliding door still cannot be locked (I have to put a piece of wood between the wall and the door), the window in the master bedroom cannot be opened, and the window in the kid's bedroom does not tilt.

The windows and the door are aluminum and very expensive, but they are worth nothing if the support is not available. DUE TO THE LACK OF SUPPORT AND VERY UNBFRIENDLY SERVICE, THINK TWICE IF YOU WANT TO BUY ANY WINDOWS OR DOORS FROM AMC.
