American Auto Shipping Unauthorized use of vehicle Las Vegas Nevada

We decided to ship our car from Las Vegas to Garden Grove, Ca. approx 260 miles. We were on vacation, we’re having car troubles, already had costly repairs done that did not fix the problem and staying in a hotel. We chose American Auto Shipping as they had an office very close to where we were staying and they would allow us to park the car at their facility until a carrier was able to pick it up. Typically 1 to 5 days.

We dropped off the car on Thursday 9/29/22, took pictures of the car and odometer. The next Monday 10/3/22 we received a text from B&K Transportation hired by AAS that the car had been picked up and will be delivered Tuesday. Tuesday we received a text from B&K that the carrier had broke down and delivery will be on Wednesday 10/5/22.

We picked up our car on Wednesday and there was 454 more miles on the odometer than when we left it. We questioned the driver from B&K (Vladmir) and he denied any knowledge and to contact AAS. Vladimir would not give us a hard copy of the BOL where the odometer reading appears to be altered with a darker color of ink.                                                                            We have pictures, emails, and texts to back this up.

We called AAS immediately and it was extremely difficult to get to talk to a manager. We finally spoke with Rachel and sent her the pictures, details of when they were taken and the timestamp of the location when taken. We did not hear anything from Rachel so we reached out again. A few days later Anthony Ward (Manager of AAS) contacted us and said the pictures have no relevance and the BOL from the driver was a binding document and he is basing his decision on that. No compensation whatsoever.

We reached out to the vice president of AAS (Mark Larsen) via email. He contacted us via email and said he would investigate. 6 days later Mark replies back to us via email and states that the pictures that we sent were altered, not the BOL and that we committed a crime!                      Mark also accused us of fraud and extortion in his email!

American Auto Shipping lacks integrity and professionalism.
