American Municipal Services Driving Citation Carrollton Texas

I received a letter stating that I must pay $268.45 for a citation to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Department. What confused me about the letter, is that my name was spelled incorrectly and it had a Texas address to send payment. On top of that- I know that I do not have an fees in that parish.

I haven't lived there for 10 years. I cross refenced the address and found out it was a scam. I also called the toll free number and the line kept hanging up! The letter looked real and had me worried and confused. Please always check your information before sending payment to anyone. The things people do to scam you is really ridiculous. I'm really concerned on how that got my current address and knew that I live in that parish in the past!!!! Also check your credit- because alot of identity theft is happening.
