On behalf of my daughter and her husband, I loaned them funds to pursue fertility treatment, hoping to support their journey toward parenthood. My daughter authorized a payment of $278.00 to Dr. Kathryn Calhoun of the Atlanta Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), which was the correct amount owed. However, due to a malfunction in ACRM’s automated payment system (Card Connect HPP), the system erroneously added two zeros, resulting in a withdrawal of $20,078.00 from her USAA bank account.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with Dr. Calhoun and ACRM billing staff—specifically Ms. Chantise Brooks and Miracle Howard—these individuals have repeatedly provided false information. They claim a refund of $19,807.70 was processed and that the matter is closed, instructing us not to contact them further. These statements are demonstrably false. USAA has confirmed that no refund has been received, and the account ACRM claims to have refunded is closed and incapable of receiving funds.

Since July 17, 2025, ACRM has ignored all email correspondence, and both my daughter’s and my phone numbers have been blocked. This deliberate obstruction and refusal to engage in good faith resolution have caused significant emotional distress and financial harm to our family.

ACRM presents itself as a women’s health care provider committed to supporting physical and emotional well-being. Yet their conduct in this matter—retaining funds they did not lawfully earn—suggests otherwise. Their actions constitute unlawful enrichment under Georgia law, and I am actively reviewing legal options to pursue restitution through the courts.

I am sharing this account to warn other potential patients of ACRM. No one seeking compassionate medical care should be subjected to financial exploitation, deception, or stonewalling. I urge ACRM to immediately refund the overpayment and restore the trust they have so thoroughly damaged.
