After basically running their business for them for a year, my spouse was terminated with no warning and for no reason. Now my spouse is trying to find a new job and Augie's is tarnishing my spouse's reputation, lying and saying that they were let go for disorderly conduct when there is no record or acknowledgement of such disorderly conduct occurring. One morning, out of nowhere, the owner, Matt Bazzell, came into the office with boxes, and told my spouse to "pack up [their] things, [they] are done." When asked why they were being let go, Matt said, "You know what you did." My spouse was not provided any sort of written letter as part of their dismissal. Now, since our lives were derailed by this thoughtless act, my spouse is applying to jobs and being ghosted after seemingly great interviews; we can only assume they are calling Augie's and Augie's is telling them false information to keep my spouse from being hired again. This is frankly appalling and cruel. My spouse has also applied for unemployment, only for their claim to be denied because they were let go for "disorderly conduct." Again, show me the proof. If you are at all ethical, avoid doing business with or being employed by this company.
