I paid $4000 for the medical device that was supposed to help my diabetes and other medical issues. I used the device a few times and it quit working. I used the device as instructed. I contacted the company and according to their website, I agreed to pay to have it repaired...I did not feel I should be charged as it was not my fault the machine quit working. The company never looked at my machine....they would not issue a return for repair...instead they sent me an email telling me it was my fault....said it was user error and they would not repair it! They are supposed to be EPA approved...I am also notifying the EPA about this fraudulent business. They market to seniors and obviously are taking advantage with their piece of plastic machine that they are not willing to stand behind. I want other seniors to know that this company is just ripping off seniors. Please do not be taken in like I was....Avacen is a horrible company that takes seniors hard earned money and has no concern about health or well being!! Avacen is a RIP OFF company!

This is a bad faith report

I own 2 AVACEN and know several people who have them. I have had personal experience with this company and can tell you they have gone above and beyond descency and good service! I know of a couple of people who have had problems with their machines and they have been properly and reasonably repaired.
Sounds like sour Grapes... Old people being ripped off? How do they know how old you are? If you damaged a machine it s reasonable to pay to have it repaired. I would rate this company A1!

The good doctor's complaint was not correct

Dr. Phillips from Branson, Missouri, let's get the facts straight before you begin to tarnish a company's reputation.
The issue you are addressing references the VCI, which is the entry way for the forearm to enter into the AVACEN. This entry way has a plastic outer lining which fills up with air once you start the device and creates a proper sealant in order to have a proper treatment on the AVACEN. The user in this case (99% of the time) is the one that almost always causes a puncture in the plastic due to being careless. The damage to the plastic is caused by Jewerly, watches, forced entry, cat claws, bare hands without the mitt and a host of a few other issues. If there is a small puncture to the outer plastic lining, the AVACEN will not seal properly and a treatment is ineffective.
Customers are informed before purchase that they are responsible for any damage to the VCI, which typically means they need to pay for replacing the VCI.
The Doctor did not in anyway convey the response from AVACEN Medical correctly. Outside of the VCI issue, when you purchase an AVACEN Device, there is a 3 year warranty that comes with the wellness device.
For me personally, I have seen hundreds of Seniors who have greatly benefited from the AVACEN over that last couple years. So once again, the good Doctor is deceiving those reviewing his complaint.
So Doctor Phillips, with the VCI being a user error and your responsibility, why is AVACEN Medical a horrible company and a Rip Off? I would encourage you to delete your complaint, because I have witnessed first hand AVACEN Medical being more than supportive to their customer base and servicing their needs consistently.
