Complaint against “Best Price Dealer” in Hallandale Florida.
Good evening my name is Joan Williams and I am a single parent living in Coconut Creek, Florida.
I am here to bring to your attention a situation that took place with my son after he purchased a car from Best Price Dealer in Hallandale Florida.

On October 21, 2019 my son was in a major accident on I-95 and his car was totaled. He took Uber for many weeks and was able to save up $1000 which he decided to use as a deposit on a used car.
This company called Best Price Dealer wooed him with their assortment of used cars on Facebook and he went to their lot to purchase one.

On Nov 27, 2 days before his 30th birthday, my son deposited his last $1000 on a 2013 Nissan Altima with 90,000 miles which was priced at $8700. The loan officer at Best Price Dealer got him into a loan where he would pay back 24% annually however the calculations worked out that he would owe $18,000 for this car at the end of the day.

When my son left the lot, the car started buckling on his way to Coconut Creek such that he had to stop at a mechanic to get it looked at. He was told to return the car as it was not worth the price and seemed to be overheating.

By the time he got to our home the car was hot to touch and smoking inside. My son called the dealership and they sent someone to pick up the car at his work in Miami. They kept it for 3 days and when we returned they told him there was no refund.

After pleading with them to exchange the car they gave him a 30 days warranty stating they would fix the engine or transmission.

3 weeks later, the car started overheating again and shutting off at stop signs and red lights. The car was towed to Best Price Dealer who have refused to fix it and has it on their lot just parked there. I have called the Hallandale Beach Police who told us they have several complaints weekly about this place.

They also stated they have been there numerous times due to the complaints, but this was a civil matter.
BEST PRICE DEALERSHIP seems to change the reviews on their site to reflect mostly 5 stars, but I am positive these are fake reviews.

MY son is very depressed and cannot handle this situation so I am pleading for your help before he does something crazy to himself. My son’s name is Taffi Wolfe and his number is #754-245-7683.
