Better Tax Relief Scam Artists Help Request for Refund Due to GROSSLY Overcharge for Service Not Rendered CA Irvine

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my concern regarding an overcharge for a service that was not delivered as agreed. Beginning September 17th 2024, I engaged Better Tax Relief for IRS debt relief from past tax liabilities, for which I was charged $7619.62. However, the service was either not provided or fell significantly short of what was promised.

To the best of my knowledge:

• When I initially contacted Better Tax Relief I was dealing with Josh Moloian, Lupe Barre, and Rosa Mendez. In, the first few conversations with Josh and a man named Dylan. I was told there would be a program for me that would give me tax relief.  Josh proposed in order to move forward they would need $7619.62 to get a resolution for my case. I could not afford that so they linked me with United Finance to get this financed which I went ahead and reluctantly did. I received a documents request from Lupe Berra in order for them to do their review/anaylsis. I sent the documents requested one which was my financial analysis which BTR claims they did but I actually did ~85% of the work on form 433-F they sent me to complete. From there I was referred to Rosa Mendez the case manager who had a gentleman named Phil call me over a month later (I only have his phone 949-340-0487) who relayed to me their only resolution for me was to lower my payments on a payment plan that I had already set up with the IRS on my own through the online IRS portal.  Better Tax Relief knew I already had a payment plan with the IRS.  For them to charge me $7619.62 to come back to me that they could lower my payment with the IRS is grossly inappropriate and very bad business.  This is offered by the IRS online, so I can easily do this on my own.  I was grossly misled as to what BTR conveyed they could do for me.  And to add insult to injury, I am now an additional $7619 in debt on top of the $39,000 I owe the IRS.  I am truly upset and disappointed to be taken advantage. I was looking for help, not to have the hole I am in deeper.
• I asked Phil to escalate this matter to a manager.  I was contacted by a gentlemen named Kamran Kashani.  I had a couple of conversations where he thought the charge was fair and refused to reimburse me anything.  He claimed I am upset with the result.  And of course I was. I was told I would qualify for relief not a payment plan reduction.  Like I said, I can do that on my own.  How can you charge someone $7619 knowing they are looking for relief and leave them in more debt.  Isn’t BTRs business model to HELP people and NOT hurt them even more.  Simply disgusting.

I believe this overcharge to be unjust and grossly disproportionate, considering that the service was not rendered as agreed. I respectfully request a full refund of $7619.62, as I am not willing to pay for a service I did not receive.
