Boatfloat Boat Lifts sold me a floating boat lift in the spring of 2018 and it has never worked correctly and the manufacturer doesn't help. Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32004 Florida

Upon delivery the manual switch did not work - that was minoras I had a remote (they give you only one).  But when I put my boat on the lift it did not raise the boat completely out of the water - 4 incheds of the keel sat in the water.  I called Dan who was very difficult to deal with.  He first asked me how much gas was in the boat as if that was the problem. 

 Eventually he re-ran the computer model for the lift set up and told me I needed to pull the lift and reconfigure how it was set up.  This meant basically resetting the whole thing - no easy task and no one here has any idea how to do it.  This ment moving the lifting carriage forward, raise it by taking appart the lift and moving up 2 holes and adjusting the spread of the bunks.  He did not offer to send someone to do it or pay for the cost to do all this.  They put it together wrong for my boat and left me with the bill and a set of instructions.

Next the left water hydraulic ram leaked after the first year.  Now the boat can only be raised very slowly.  I contacted Dan - no response.  I pulled the ram and our local hydraulic guy says the seal is just weak in the way it was manufactured.  Tried to fix it but can't.  Needed to order a custom seal if that will fix it.  Don't know.   These are custom made so no one is familar with them.  

The fittings on the pumb leak in two places.  I will need to pull it appart and reseal it to fix the problem.

The locking mechanism doesn't work anymore so the boat slow sinks back into the water.  The locking systems is set up like brakes on a bike.  So if the cable is not set just perfect the lock doesn't activate.   Needs to be readjusted only after one summer.

The worse part is the manufacture (Dan) is absolutely no help and really doesn't care if the boat lift works for you or not.  Right from the beginning he was impossible to deal with.  At one point he said to me "I don't have time for this".   Which sums up his attitude. 

 I ordered the lift for the boat I have - I gave him the year make and model along with the correct dry weight.  I asked him three times if the lift will work for my boat.   It doesn't.   Now I am trying to figure out how to fix it.  Don't order this lift.
