I’ve been meaning to write a review of a recent Realtor I had the displeasure of dealing with.  The guy was a complete bumbling/fumbling idiot.  Explanations below.

I asked Bob Menning from Beiser Realty in Winneconne, WI to call the Realtor that had the property who was his co-worker and he did not follow through on two occasions.  More on that below.

And he told me that the owner bought the property for a certain amount but HE HAD THE WRONG FACTS!  The owner DID NOT buy the property for the amount that he said.  He bought it for a lot less.

He was pushy on the price and pressured me into making a higher offer than I would have and then he later admitted, “oh, it was an acquisitions company who owned the property”.  Really?  So I could have offered less and maybe I didn’t need to offer as much as I did?  So other than the acquisitions guy putting a tiny bit of work into the property, the acquisitions guy made a lot of money on the property and probably would have accepted a lot less since no-one else was offering?  The price on the property kept going down because no-one was buying it because a LOT of work had to be done on it.  Work that the seller was not willing to put into it.

Also, Bob Menning talks over you and won't shut up and tries to monopolize the conversation.  Whenever he came to show the property, which was 3 times, (once for the initial showing, then before I made an offer then for the final walk through), each time he said he had to leave.  Well if you hadn't monopolized the conversation and taken up MY time with stuff you talked about, maybe I would have had more time.  And if I hear facebook marketplace one more time, I'll scream.

Of course I would never deliver packages to a property I didn’t own yet.  He’s supposed to be my advocate, my liaison and didn’t make a call regarding furniture I ordered that was set to be delivered between the 15th to the 19th.  I closed on the property on the 15th.  I got a notification on my phone that the packages arrived early and got delivered on the 12th so I immediately called him in order for him to call the seller but he didn’t take it seriously and didn’t follow through.  You think he could have called the listing Realtor so she could notify the seller as to what happened?  No!

Bob Menning  later told me that that was the day that the seller had people cleaning things out and working at the house so tell me they didn’t take the packages?  But I bet they wouldn’t have had Realtor Bob Menning called the seller to alert him that the packages were mine; then the seller could have told the workers to leave my packages (which were supposed to arrive the 15th on but arrived a few days earlier instead).  But he didn’t. This could have all been avoided had he made the call immediately when I found out and when the sellers people were over there cleaning the place out the very day that my packages arrived (and disappeared).  I certainly blame him for that.  Again, can you say bumbling, fumbling idiot?  I sure can.

He also didn’t notify the seller to please leave the swing on the porch in the backyard...wouldn't make a call about a swing?, why not?, it can't hurt, the worst the seller can say is no. There are so many things to think about when buying a place.  I had just forgotten to put it in the contract.  I immediately told Bob Menning about it.  Again, do you think he could have called the seller?  The seller thought he had to haul it away and he didn’t have to.  If he only had been called and notified that it was okay to leave it but he wasn’t notified.  Turns out the seller threw it away and had to hire people to do so when he could have saved himself the expense and just left it for me which I wanted.

Neighbors said that they saw guys chopping up the swing.  A swing that was perfectly good that could have been left at the property.  I could have had a swing and the seller wouldn’t have had to pay someone to chop it up literally and haul it away.  As it is I had to pay to buy another swing in its place, an expense I wouldn’t have had because of Bob Menning.  All he had to do was make a call.  Perhaps the Realtor should reimburse me for it?  (Because he didn’t follow through yet again and do his job efficiently and I could have had a swing and not had to buy a new one to replacee it).

He said I'll “be there from start to finish”, well okay then, you could have made those 2 calls.  (And I don't really need you at my closing although he was going to invite himself anyway without asking me if that was okay).

Oh, when I was making an offer on the place, he had told me  he “doesn't care about commission”, he “just wants the buyer happy”, well I'm not happy with him which is why I'm writing this review.  I kept saying try to sell our offer because then you'll get the commission and I can get the house and he kept saying he didn't care about his commission on more than one occasion, (just wanted the buyer happy).

On top of that I had to pay this bumbling fumbling idiot (sorry, that must be the 3rd time I’ve used that term for him in this review) a $295 fee for him to be my “buyers agent”.  Have you ever heard of anything so ludicrous as for a buyer having to pay a realtor's fee to the seller's real estate agent’s company?  ha!  He's also getting the commission as well mind you from the seller (of which he said he "didn't care about".)

Between the swing and then the packages and the price he pressured me to offer and all the other reasons described here, he caused me so much worry and grief during the process.

There are probably other things too but this is off the top of my head.  I would NOT recommend using this Realtor (Bob Menning from Beiser Realty out of Winneconne, WI).  At the very least I think he should reimburse me the $295 for the buyer's agent fee for my pain and suffering over the packages AND for the loss of the swing since he didn’t follow through and for the fact that he pressured me to make a higher offer, what? so he could get a higher commission that in his words he “didn’t care about”?.  All he had to do was make simple calls as my “buyers agent”, but, no!, he is very inefficient….

If he reimburses me anything I will let you know.  If not, this post will be up as someone who you should not do business with because the guy just doesn’t follow through on stuff you asked him to do and for other reasons described here.  He lost me money.  And I had to pay for this clown?  There, I used another word to describe him. :)
