On March 15th we decided we wanted to stay an extra night at the resort we were staying at so we went to the lobby to purchase an extra night. They said it would be $782.50 for an extra night or we could find a cheaper price online and purchase it through them. Since we originally purchased our entire trip with Bookit.com we checked their website first. They had a rate of $642.50 so we purchased it from them.
We received confirmation emails of our payment from Bookit.com and we're told we were okay to head back to our room and to enjoy our extra night. On our day of checkout the resort said that they never received the money from Bookit.com and that we had to pay the going rate of $782.50 for our extra night before we were allowed to leave. So now we have been charged twice. Bookit.com has taken our money and not given it to the resort. We have email proof and proof from our bank statements.
As of now Bookit.coms website is a page that you can't click away from saying that they are "working hard" because of COVID 19, and their phones leave you with a robot voicemail that says they are currently not operating because of COVID 19.
