This company Getbrainhakr.com offers a risk free trial, you just pay the shipping charge of 6.94 and you receive a risk-free trial. What they don't tell you is that if you dont evaluate the product in 17 days (after waiting 12 days to receive it) and decide to keep it or cancel, you are automatically enrolled in a 30-day recurring subscription at the tune of $89.99/mo. If you are smart enough to realize that no trial is ever risk free then you will read the terms and conditions, where it clearly states that if you call and cancel within 17 days (they allow 4 for shipping and 13 for trial) and I STRESS call because they are clear that anything less is insufficient. you will not be charged anything further and your subscription will be cancelled.
Well, I called in on the 13th day to cancel and the employee informed me that if I did not return the product that there would be a $19.94 fee. I directed her to the terms and conditions portion of their website where it explicitly states that there will be NO FURTHER CHARGE. She continued to say that the trial is not free and repeated the charge. The trail is the 6.94 shipping, thats the risk free trial. So she continued to argue with me when I repeatedly directed her towards the company's terms and conditions where it didnt state anything about a charge for the product. She could not show me where the charge was listed, but insisted that if I didnt want the product, why didn't I want to send it back. Because im not paying shipping to send back a RISK free trial thats supposed to be free.
In addition, there is no mention of a $90 monthly charge unless you read the fine print. This company is clearly trying to scam people and charge them before they realize whats going on. Once you miss the 17 day deadline not only do you pay the $90, but you receive the product again and are charged an additional $90 to cancel.
I have emails to prove all correspondence.
