Cabelas.com Wrong item advertised, sold Newark DE

I believe Cabelas online store (www.cabelas.com) is using misleading images of a popular product to sell a product that they cannot move honestly at this time. I attempted to purchase .410 shotgun ammunition and received 12 gauge ammunition. The image showed a box of .410 ammo and the listing was marked as .410. The boxes received also had 15 fewer shells than the listing image.

When I complained they told me the image warns "*Image may not represent product selected" But I have a copy of the image taken from their site and there is no such warning, not that it would excuse misleading customers. Further, I know based on my experience with the industry that .410 has become extremely hard to find. I have seen sites selling boxes of .410 shells for as much as $700.

I have also seen many shelves emptied of .410 and full of 12 gauge at the same time. I hope to prevent others from falling prey to this deceptive practice and dissuade online merchants from behaving in this way.
