I purchased a Voigtlander camera lens thru the Camera Quest storefront on Amazon.com. I opted to use the 12 Equal Payment plan, reviewed and finalized the purchase. After the lens was shipped, the information on my Amazon.com account for this purchase refelected a full charge for the lens, without the 12 equal payment plan as presented at the time of sale.
Following this incident, I left seller feedback on the Amazon site, concerning Camera Quest's unauthorized change in the payment terms. After two days, the feedback was removed from Amazon's site, and a new attempt to re-enter the facts were not accepted on the Amazon site. This business essentially removed unfavorable feedback, which in and of itself, further hides (and defrauds the public) it's deceptive business practices. Amazon claims they cannot correct the payment terms because the item was shipped, and that I would need to return the item and rebuy it. Once the item is delivered (scheduled for Feb 20, 2025) it will be returned because of Camera Quest's unauthorized charges against my credit card. This is a decptive company for which I have discovered refuses Voigtlander warrant repairs unless purchased from him, and purportedly sells stock to other unauthorized Voigtlander dealers, who sell the products at the same prices and provide no warranty to consumers. At that Point Voigtlander (Cosina Co, LTD., Japan) also refuses to honor warranty repairs. This is a complete scam setup for the US market. I wish I had found all this information before purchasing from Camera Quest. I chose to trust this company, and was rewarded by abuse of my credit card. I absolutely do not recommend Camera Quest or Amazon.com.

The lens doesn't look damaged, and the packaging is par for the course for Amazon. Also, you don't seem to understand how the equal pay promotion works. The seller has nothing to do with it, and the full amount gets charged to your card immediately. You then have 12 months to pay it. Maybe try reading the terms and conditions next time.

The shipping for the lens I describe appears to have been dropped off at an Amazon center in Texas, by Camera Quest. Amazon appears to have assumed shipping from that point. Neither party ensured the lens was appropriately packed, as its box was placed into an oversized shipping box without bubble wrap or paper packing. That box was flimsy and gaping at the corners. It was transfered from Texas to Indiana, then Kentucky and backed to Indiana over the course of 4 days before I received it. If the vendor can substantiate that the credit terms changes and shipping were the sole actions of Amazon, then I am willing to have this report removed. Amazon, however, has assumed zero responsibility for the issue.
