The owner Chantel Brian aka Chantel Johnson has neglected to pay staff members and gets upset if you ask where your payroll check is and wrongfully terminates you.  She uses and abuses amazing young staffers who she hired using a Indeed advertisement for bartenders when the candle bar doesn't even have a liquor license not is constructed to code to serve any alchohol at all. She uses young male staff to do all kind of maintenance work such as laying concrete, breaking bolt locks off of doors, and then some because they are male and that is their role.

Chantel gets very drunk on the job and encourages the other young staffers to drink on the clock creating a toxic workplace environment. She gets so drunk she ends up on the ground sprawled out on the sidewalk yelling at staff to do thinks and wanting more drinks. She then blames them for the business not having customers and uses it as an excuse to cut hours. Once she cuts hours she takes from minority staff members she gives the hours to Caucasian staff members who does her bidding. The owner especially treats her minority staffers who are Black poorly and says they are a burden to her then terminates them if they ask to be paid fairly for all the additional requests she asks of them beyond the scope of their duties.

The place is also a rip off charging $60 for cheap fragrance oils from Candlescience and jars from Makesy anyone can order and make at home for $10 dollars in their own home or less. They also violate the laws by buying items from HomeGoods & TJ Maxx such as match sets and taper candle sets and marks them up for 3X the price and sells them in their retail area without the brands permission or license to do so. She has a silent partner Marcus Wandell who she lies and tells staff he is her accountant but he is really her backer she runs the scamming company with. Some of his other businesses similar to Craigslist called Sellify have also a lot of consumer scam reports So buyer and potential applicants beware. You will not be paid, you will be mistreated, and you will have to babysit not only the drunk owner but her two dogs she let's piss all over the floors. Chantel Brian aka Chantel Johnson is a drunken hot mess that is bad news. She needs professional help and to learn how to stop scamming consumers and pay her staffers!
