Catalis Money we paid IRS via PayUSAtax.com were never received by IRS Alpharetta GA

The IRS has forced us to repay a payment they claim is missing — with interest totaling $8,753.13 — even though we already paid $7,500 on January 5, 2023, via PayUSAtax.com/Catalis – Value Payment (EFTPS Number XXXXXXXX779 available upon request). The payment, made with an American Express Platinum card through this IRS-recommended processor, was successful on our end. Despite this, the IRS claims they never received the funds, though records show the money was received. Funds were never received by IRS;

1.           PayUSAtax/ Catalis – Value Payment is showing payment with EFTPS Number XXXXXXX779, IRS status ACCEPTED

2.           American Express card statement of closing date 01/29/2023 showing the charge of $7500 on January 05, 2023. Payment shows as US Treasury tax payment. January statement showing we paid off the card balance.

3.           There were no credits back to our AmEx account ever.  According to AmeExs every reversed payment will appear as credit back on the account and there were no credits on the card.

4.           This account has been closed by me a year later in February 2024. See statement from 02/27/2024 as a confirmation. No refunds on any statements.

5.           AmEx did investigation on our request and determined the payment to PayUSAtax.com/ Catalis – Value Payment has been rendered and fully executed.

We wrote numerous letters to the IRS and spoke to several agents. During our in-person appointment with the local IRS office 12/06/2024, the agent was able to see the payment by our EFTPS number and has escalated the case to his supervisor. After receiving numerous letters from the IRS stating they need more time, we received a Final Demand for Payment in July 2025 after 7 month from the appointment of the principal plus interest without any explanation regarding the dispute. The letter was threatening and caused our family much duress. We were forced to make IRS a requested payment, duplication what has been previously submitted to IRS through PayUSAtax.com

We have made multiple attempts to contact PayUSAtax.com. We called and we left messages and we logged complaints on their website. We stayed hours on the phone only to have line disconnected.
