So let me start off saying everything on this review is 100% factual my gf and i went to affordable auto sales on 3/19 to look at a vehicle "2017 chevy cruze" and we were talked into this rideshare program from a salesman named randy at the waynesboro location now we own 5 cars and have no real need for a 6th but i decided why not...

so we put the cash down to get this vehicle and were told 20k a year allowed for miles and a 2 year lease with the option to buy out at the end of the lease which is what we were planning on doing. On day one on the drive home after getting it we stopped at the waynesboro car wash because i wanted to wax it in my garage when we got home, but it wouldnt start at the carwash 30 minutes after we took delivery of the car..

The box was not working correctly "randy outsourced the install of the box to a unapproved person from what we were told by a employee of affordable finance" which i have documented on video so after being stranded for a hr in freezing temps randy the salesguy went ghost and we were stuck he never returned our call not a text.

Nothing so afterwards we tried to start it again it struggled but started we continued on our way home frozen and disappointed..my girlfriend works very hard and deserves to have a car that will run without problems that she pays for we have had COUNTLESS issues with the box losing signal almost car accidents etc.

There is nothing affordable about 400/mo on these cars my new subaru was cheaper than that when i made payments..this cruze developed a engine knock "these are enterprise ex rental cars that affordable auto sales sells as specified from randy" and was sitting at my house per chevys request to NOT drive it because it was making noise in the engine.

It was parked here on 11/12/19 tuesday i needed to move the vehicle because it was in the way of other vehicles here i got in and started it up without a issue and moved it in front of my garage..that was it "i have a camera system that recorded the entire thing via time stamp"

my girlfriend had one of my cars that day over the engine knock i should clarify so she could reliably get to work without a problem so about 45 min later affordable auto sales shows up as i was getting ready to leave to have scheduled maintenance done to my nissan i have, they informed me they was taking the car i gave them keys and it was gone dashcam was rolling inside the cruze the entire time and recorded from my house to there dealership affordable auto sales.

it was the owner and a employee that took possession of said vehicle, my girlfriend called me and informed me that affordable finance called her before all this happen and there employee informed her that there was tampering with the box and next time it would result in a repo,

now all that happened was the start button pushed i have it all on video and documentation i need i went to affordable finance at 4:50 pm on 11/12/19 tuesday to try to remedy the situation and explain all i did was get in and move the car i have multiple cars and have a very successful life we work very hard for what we have and do not need to lie about anything.

thank goodness for cameras for proof, so a employee there goes by the name amanda informed me that because she had a "alarm" on her computer someone tampered with the box..now the car was parked during all this time so why would i do such a thing having so many other vehicles to drive they are paid off as well :)

so not only do i have a camera system that recorded this incident with time stamps and dates i have paperwork that makes absolutely no sense from what was given to me from there employee amanda when times were printed the times she gave me were before 1pm of the printout when i moved the car at my house..

i moved the vehicle at 2:36pm on 11/12/19 so that makes no sense. On 11/13/19 we go to affordable finance amanda was very rude and we had a disagreement on the situation my girlfriend goes to pick up her copy of the contract off the desk and amanda yanks the paper out of her hand! I will persue this legally and truthfully!!!

One Run-On Sentence After Another!

AUTHOR: Momo - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2019

In the second grade they teach the little children how to write complete sentences and to use punctuation. Why not get one of those children to write for you since you obviously don't know that much! One the other hand, just keep on writing. It gets funnier with every post!

Cash - So What?

AUTHOR: Jim - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 19, 2019

Paying cash for previous cars is completely irrelevant to this situation.  If the real motive was to create and build credit, then leasing a used car for a 2 year period at 20K miles per year from a used car lot in the manner in which the lease was done, wasn't the way to do it.

The dealership is actually under no obligation to report your on-time payments and since the deal is between you and the dealer, there is no obligation to even report the debt UNLESS you were late, and then....bad news.  The dealer basically treated you both like sub-prime borrowers who would steal the car at a moment's notice rather than make on-time payments and then buyout the car.

You would have been far better off leasing a new car, with a minimum amount down, less annual miles would have to be a give on the negotiations, extending the lease out for 3-4 years, and then writing into the lease an early buyout in order to limit upside profit for the dealer.  That would bump your credit up and protect you if there were issues with the car.

You also have no recourse in court against the used car dealer either, at least based on your truthful report.  It's OK for them to provide you a used car and lease it to you in an "as-is" condition, although I couldn't imagine a legit dealer would do that, but there's nothing preventing it either.

A car lease means the car is still owned by the dealer, which traditionally means they would warranty at least some portion of the car, and why they put all the theft prevention items on the car.  Rather than assume full risk of the car and collections in a normal lease situation, what this dealer did is basically pawn off the risk of a poor car over to you, and assume the risk of collection, which to them was a minimal to zero risk.

It's almost a zero risk lease with a lot of profit.  The fact they would write a contract like this makes me think they would never report the debt, nor the on-time payments.  So much for building credit.

What a load of BS

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, November 18, 2019

Successful people who have 5 cars, don't go to places like this, they do not willingly pay $400/month for a 2-Year LEASE on a 2+ year old car car, they do not allow a GPS tracker to be put on their car. They especially don't do this with the attitude of "why not", unless they are lying or are totally clueless. Now, the people that do this are people that have not proven they can handle credit, people that "regular" dealers won't touch with a 10-foot pole.

my girlfriend works very hard and deserves to have a car that will run without problems that she pays for
- How is this for a "why not"...Why not allow her to use one of your other 5 cars? Why would you throw away $400/month with 5 other good(?) cars?  She could save that $400/month and in the two years have a very nice down payment on a new car. If she wants the sense of ownership, why not transfer one of your cars to her name? She is your GF and you trust her..right?

I will persue this legally and truthfully!!!
- To paraphrase a well known line.."thouh doth protest too much".  When people have to continually focus on how truthful they are being, it is often because they are not exactly telling the full truth as to the situation.

By the way, what are you going to pursue? You likely bought the car "As-Is" meaning that anything and everything that goes wrong with the car is YOUR responsiblity.  This isn't your car or your Girlfriend's car, they hold still the title.  As such they can reposess the car at any time and for any reason if they feel that either their property is in danger or you will not fulfill the loan agreement. You handed over the keys to the car, so there is no breach of peace in terms of the repo. So it doesn't even matter what your video shows.

Good Luck.
