My Father bought me a new home a few months back and it needed a home inspection. Our realtor recommended Chases Home Inspection Services, Chase Edmunds. The seller had moved out and we had been inside the house numerous times. Keep in mind no one but my father and I had any access to the home after Chase Edmunds did his home inspection. Upon move in a friend pointed out a couple of odd holes in the bedroom ceiling and bathroom ceiling that were not previously there befor the inspection. And again no one else had access to the home after the inspection. My father came over with a ladder and took a closer look. With a screwdriver he removed two small white metal plates that matched the color of the paint and inside were 2 small video cameras that according to my father were transmitting via radio frequency. They were wired into the nearby light switches. We have contacted the authorities and they are "looking into it". I thought because my realtor recommended Chase Edmunds that I could trust him in my home alone. After all they are supposed to be insured and all that right? Be very careful of whoever you give access to your home when you are not there. This man should be behind bars. I will update what the police report does if it does anything at all.

Chases Home Inspection Services need to be shut down.

AUTHOR: Melanie - (United States)

No one is looking for any monetary gain by posting what happened in my home after we left him alone in it. What happens next will be up to the proper authorities. As for posting about him being insured that was to establish trust not greed. This man is a crook! As well as in need of some serious help. You are are either him posting that or you have no idea who this man really is.

Chase's Home Inspection Services are legitimate with no criminal practices

I've known the owner/inspector for a very long time, and there is no way that he installed cameras to spy on clients.  The scam report claiming the malicious intent and any malpractice is obviously defamation of his character for the intention of receiving money for nothing.  There is even mention of him "supposed to be insured" in the description.  Furthermore, I've had home inspection services completed by Chase's Home Inspection Services.  Not only is he very good about his job, but he's done many other inspections for clients over the past 5+ years.  If you're a potential client here reading this, all you have to do is ask him for referrals from realtors in the Vancouver/Portland area.
