Christopher M Brainard – Attorney Filed False Restraining Order to Harass and Intimidate Bel Air California

Christopher M. Brainard, a licensed attorney in California, filed a completely false restraining order against me on May 23, 2011, in Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. YQ015788. He accused me of making violent threats like:
"You’re a filthy piece of sh*t... I know people from Vegas... I’ll hurt you... Watch what happens next."

These claims are fabricated. I never said those things, was not even present during the alleged events, and no police were ever called.

Brainard also falsely stated in section 23(e) of his petition that his mother, girlfriend, and friends submitted declarations. That was a lie — no such documents exist in the case record. He used his law license to make these accusations appear credible and weaponized the legal system to target me.

On June 9, 2011, the court hearing was scheduled. Brainard didn’t even show up, and the case was dismissed. This shows his intent wasn’t justice — it was harassment, plain and simple.

This wasn’t a one-time incident. Brainard filed a nearly identical restraining order against another woman, Diana Volek, again using similar language. He clearly has a pattern of filing restraining orders as a weapon to threaten and silence others.

In addition, Brainard has a documented history of DUI arrests, probation, and court fines. In my opinion, he is mentally unstable, ethically unfit, and should not be allowed to practice law.

I’m writing this to clear my name, warn the public, and urge the State Bar of California and relevant authorities to investigate and take disciplinary action.
