I began to purchase a car at the dealership with Peter who works at Hillside Auto. I ended up deciding that I would trade my car in for the car evenly and that I was to incur no charges except a document fee and available warranty I decided to pick up. I was charged the doc fee and warranty and after careful consideration and further looking into the car I decided not to go through with the deal as I felt I was being mislead with an issue it had currently.

Peter told me that I would  be refunded my warranty fees and and not doc fees. I was fine with forfeiting the doc fees as I felt bad for wasting Peter's time and was told I would be getting the money refunded to my card in the next upcoming days. The corona pandemic hit hard in the tri-state area so I initially was very laxed in getting money back from Peter as I knew times were hard. After some time passed I still did not receive a response, so i reached out and asked about the status and received no response.

I then file a dispute with my credit card and Peter responds telling me to cancel and he will give me back my money minus the difference of the document fees. I refuse to cancel as I am now growing untrustworthy of Peter. I lose the dispute( I am unsure what Peter told my credit card company to win) and then Peter goes back to ignoring me. I send him a message saying I was cheated out of my money and that warranted a response from him saying I am entitled to the money back. I have two separate text from Peter stating I am entitled to my money back on top of Peter placing a phone call on speaker with my friend present during this whole ordeal and a representative from the warranty company by the name of Anthony said I was entitled to my money back.

Peter responded just the time of the dispute and the time I said I was cheated out of money. He blamed his worker being stuck out of the country due to Covid as to why he is always so busy he can get back to me(proof via text message). However there is a customer review on google reviews that mentions her asssistance with a sale prior to when he used that as an excuse. Peter was going to take my car as a trade without even having it looked at which was red flag to me and why I didnt take the car and go through with the deal as I felt he wasnt really sure what was wrong with the car I was going to receive in the trade.

Peter overall has ignored me and been unprofessional in this entire process. I never was able to retain paper work as to what I was specifically charge for so I am unsure how much of the charge is doc fees and how much is warranty. The total amount charged to my card was $1484.19.
